I have 42 followers. :o) I like each and every one of you and am thankful for the support. I love that you've found something worthy of watching for on my blog. I wonder though: How did you find me? If you're reading this, and wouldn't mind, will you share with me how you came to read my blog? My curious nature would be so appreciative if you did. :)
Also, I'm open for suggestions. Is there anything you'd like to see here? Any favorite dishes you'd like to learn to make, that I could perhaps write about with step-by-step directions? Any ingredients you'd like to see featured? Let me know. I'm all ears. Or eyes. Both, really.
Meanwhile, how about something light and delicious?
Flavorful Turkey Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground turkey breast
- 3/4 cup Italian-seasoned dry bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp each salt and pepper
- Heat a skillet (sprayed with non-stick cooking spray) over medium heat.
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mash everything together, taking care to fully incorporate all the ingredients throughout the turkey.
- Form into patties (this recipe makes about 6 large patties).
- "Fry" each patty about 6 minutes per side, or until cooked all the way through.
- Serve on buns with your desired fixin's.
The burger looks tasty. I'm going to have to give turkey burgers a shot this year :)
ReplyDeleteI found your delightful blog via foodieblogroll.com. It caught my attention right away with frugal tips, from scratch recipes and great humor. I'm glad that I found your blog Michelle!
I found your link on the Frugal Hack website that she publishes each week and BOY AM I GLAD I DID! I am 57 and a homemaker, my husband teaches high school after being an electrical engineer for 25+ years and let go in a reorganization. We plant a garden and pretty much eat what we grow and purchase our meats and dairy. It's wonderful to find someone who cooks from scratch!!! Count me as #46!

ReplyDeleteI found you through Frugal Hacks. You are a great help for me as I'm allergic to MSG and learning to do without products that contain it while still making the things my stuck in a rut family will eat is tough!
ReplyDeleteOMG, you have added another recipe that my family loves! These burgers and soft rolls were amazing the only thing that I did different was add in some red onion and a couple of cloves of garlic! My buns didn't turn out so soft but I am going to have to play around with the flour ratio, and rise time, otherwise they were very tasty!
ReplyDeleteI made the buns again today had a bake-a-thon in my home and they were simply amazing,so perfect tender and flaky, turns out I only need 5c of flour and less kneading and a little more water, these are the best buns ever. I hope you don't ever quit this blog!
